Custom Domains

Custom domains let you use your own branded domain for short links instead of linkdevi.com. For example, instead of "linkdevi.com/promo", your links would be "yourbrand.co/promo". This feature is available on paid plans, starting with the Starter plan.

To add a custom domain, go to Settings in your dashboard sidebar and click the "Domains" tab. Click the "+ Add Domain" button to open the domain setup dialog. Enter the domain or subdomain you want to use, such as "go.yourbrand.com" or "links.yourbrand.com". A subdomain is recommended because it does not interfere with your main website.

After entering the domain, LinkDevi displays the DNS records you need to configure at your domain registrar or DNS provider. You will typically need to add a CNAME record pointing your subdomain to "proxy.linkdevi.com". Copy the displayed values and proceed to your DNS provider to add the records.

Once you have added the DNS records, return to LinkDevi and click "Verify Domain". DNS propagation can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours, though it usually completes within 15 minutes. LinkDevi checks the DNS records and shows a green "Verified" status when everything is configured correctly.

After verification, your custom domain is ready to use. When creating new links, you will see your custom domain as an option in the domain selector dropdown alongside linkdevi.com. You can also set your custom domain as the default for all new links in your domain settings.
